Introduction to Vietnam

The investment can be made in an existing Vietnamese company or in a brand-new company set up by the main applicant. Under this stream, the applicant will not need a work permit as he/she will enjoy work permit exemption. Spouse and children under 18 are included in the application. The residence card issued to the investor and his family will be issued for up to 2 years renewable as long as the business activity is maintained.

REQUIREMENTS
- Conduct the activities as opened for foreign investors
- Certain conditional business activities are subject to specific operation license
- Register the investment project in Vietnam
- Incorporate a legal entity in Vietnam or take over an existing legal entity in Vietnam
- Contribute a minimum of USD 150,000 to the charter capital in such legal entity
- Be the owner/shareholder of such legal entity
INVESTMENT
- Implementation of an investment project in Vietnam by means of setting up of new foreign invested company or of purchase of shares, capital contribution parts in an existing legal entity
- Immediate investment of at least USD 150,000 in the charter capital of the relevant legal entity
- Variety of business lines to be possibly conducted in Vietnam subject to the market access conditions and applicable statutory requirements
